    Instructions:

    1. Explain the game and rules:
      1. Tell the child they will be playing a game called "Capital Connection" where they make connections between countries and their capitals.
      2. You will name either a country or its capital.
      3. They must respond by naming the corresponding capital city or country.
      4. They will then make an association or connection related to the country or capital.
    2. Start with a Country or Capital:
      1. Begin by naming either a country or its capital city. For example, say "Japan."
      2. If the child doesn’t know the answer, provide hints to help them guess.
    3. Make the connection:
      1. The child responds by naming the corresponding capital city or country. In this case, they would say "Tokyo."
      2. If they name the country, share a fun or interesting fact about the capital (e.g., "Did you know Tokyo has the busiest pedestrian crossing in the world?").
      3. If they name the capital, share a fact about the country (e.g., "Japan is famous for its cherry blossoms and delicious sushi.").
    4. Continue the chain:
      1. After discussing the initial country and capital, the child can choose the next country or capital to keep the chain going.
      2. Alternatively, take turns where you name a new country or capital, and the child responds with the connection. Then it's their turn to start with a new one.
    5. Challenge with variations. Introduce different themes or challenges to keep the game interesting:
      1. Alphabet Game: Continue the chain with countries or capitals that start with the next letter of the alphabet.
      2. Continent Focus: Choose a continent and only name countries or capitals from that continent.
      3. Double Connections: Name a country, and the child must give the capital and share an interesting fact about the country
    6. Extend the activity (optional):
      1. To deepen the learning experience, ask the child to draw a map and place the countries and capitals they remember on it.
      2. Alternatively, they could write a short story or describe an imaginary journey visiting the capitals they learned about.
